  • 140 tonne metre foredeck crane
  • 70 tonne metre aftdeck crane
  • low aft freeboard
  • all round visibility wheelhouse
  • Raised bow for greater seaworthiness
  • Shallow draft of 2.3 metres
  • Bollard pull of 16.5 tonnes

Built in 1997 by Damen Shipyards "MCS Elly" is a Dredgehelper 2510 and was acquired by Maritime Craft Services (Clyde) Ltd. from Damen Marine Services in February 2002.

The raised bow section makes "MCS Elly" more sea kindly than a conventional multi-cat enabling the vessel to operate on rougher seas than normal.

With 16.5 tonnes bollard pull, a 140 tonne metre crane on the bow and a 70 tonne metre crane aft, plus a 100 tonne anchor handling winch and a 70 tonne donkey winch, "MCS Elly" is a very versatile performer.

This vessel is the number one choice of dredging managers to help with their projects. The vessel has worked in Le Havre on a major dredging project, having completed a similar task in Dunkerque.

The vessel was also involved recently in the landfall works for an oil pipeline off the west coast of Ireland.
